RoHS – Lead-free from July 2027

On September 8, 2025, the European Commission decided not to extend key exemptions to the RoHS Directive. This means that the use of lead as an alloying element in steel, aluminum, and copper alloys (e.g., brass) will no longer be permitted. Consequently, new products used in electrical or electronic applications must be completely switched to lead-free alternatives in the medium term.
