TEKOFLEX® for Four-Wire Measurement – Precision in Electronics

TEKOFLEX® is a product family from FIXTEST designed for high-precision electrical resistance measurements. These are contacting elements specifically developed for electronic measurement techniques such as the "four-wire measurement." They consist of two measurement points (potentials) that are electrically insulated from each other.

TEKOFLEX® is available in various models from our standard range, making it ideal for four-wire measurements of flat and round connectors.

Our TEKOFLEX® product series offers solutions tailored to your individual needs in the field of electrical engineering fundamentals.

Discover TEKOFLEX® for Professional Four-Wire Measurement

We currently offer a selection of 9 different TEKOFLEX® models. The article number already provides information about the diameter of the test object to be measured.

TEKOFLEX® types TF07 to TF16 are designed for testing round and rectangular connector pins.

In contrast, the contacts from TF20 to TF63 deliver optimal test results for flat connectors.

With TEKOFLEX®, it is possible to perform four-wire measurements in an efficient and high-quality manner. This is absolutely essential to ensure the quality of electrical products. The four-wire measurement guarantees significantly more accurate results than the traditional two-wire method. In four-wire (or Kelvin) measurement, the resistance is measured using two additional sensing wires. A known electrical current flows through the resistor via two of the wires, and the voltage drop across the resistor is measured using two high-impedance sense wires connected to a voltmeter. This allows the resistance to be calculated using Ohm's law.

This method is particularly used when lead or contact resistances could distort the result.

Advantages of TEKOFLEX® Four-Wire Measurement

TEKOFLEX® simplifies measurement procedures in electrical engineering by providing precise contacting elements for four-wire measurement, which are an essential component for diagnostics and quality assurance in the field of electrical engineering.

  • The "Round" TEKOFLEX® Types

In the development of TEKOFLEX types TF07 through TF16, wear from frequent testing was also considered. These types are designed to be stackable, which facilitates precision measurement. This is referred to as "cascading." It allows for the quick and easy replacement of the "front" TEKOFLEX, which contacts the test object and therefore wears out more quickly. The new TEKOFLEX can be attached without the need for complex soldering. As a result, these TEKOFLEX models are particularly maintenance-friendly. Additionally, the contact plates to the connection pin are designed with a convex shape—this design ensures low contact resistance.

  • The "Flat" TEKOFLEX Types

With these models, testing tasks on wide flat contacts or blade contacts can be performed. The winding technique of the CuBe wire is particularly noteworthy: the many windings result in a large number of contact points. This technology ensures exceptionally low contact resistance.
