Cable harness test

Special spring contact probes for cable harness test in the automotive industry show one very special feature: Contact probe and receptacle are connected via thread. Recurring removal forces, applied during plug connector test, cannot pull the spring contact probe out of its receptacle. Suitable screw-in tools for various probe series are available on request.

Some spring contact probes feature a large plate shaped disk below the probe head. This is used to define or limit the penetration depth of the probe head into female connectors or connector housings. As is the case for other sectors, some sort of standardisation took place, so that brand-name products from different manufacturers are interchangeable. Our cable test products are compatible with those from other brands. We would like to assist you in “translating” article codes from other brands.

Along with normal spring contact probes, switch contact probes are available which provide connection only when a defined minimal travel value has been reached. This helps to easily test for correct installation dimensions or to check the presence of components.
